Through the process of architecture, Fanos has established a more profound understanding of the relationship between buildings and space from the study of Cypriot and Greek traditions, and the qualities of ecclesiastical architecture through centuries of historical evolution.
His work in Cyprus has received several distinctions including the National Architecture Award for Young Architects in 2004. Apart from his great passion for architecture, Fanos is intensely interested in photography and Byzantine music.
